2 nights ago, I woke up early in the morning to spend some time in His Presence; I basically sat down and read the Book of Acts. One focus that I had was to single out every Scripture that describes the work of the Holy Spirit… In that journey, I pen down 8 things that the Holy Spirit will empower us if we were to choose to walk with Him.

These are the 8 things:

1.    Witness
Act 1:8  But you shall receive power, the Holy Spirit coming upon you. And you shall be witnesses to Me both in Jerusalem and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and to the end of the earth.

2.    Prophecy and Vision
Act 2:17  "And it shall be in the last days, says God, I will pour out of My Spirit upon all flesh. And your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams.

3.    Spoke the Word of God with boldness
Act 4:31  And when they had prayed, the place where they were assembled was shaken. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the Word of God with boldness.

4.    Wisdom
Act 6:10  And they were not able to resist the wisdom and the Spirit by which he spoke.

5.    Guidance
Act 8:29  Then the Spirit said to Philip, Go near and join yourself to this chariot.

6.    Miraculous
Act 10:38  how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, and He went about doing good, and healing all those who were oppressed by the Devil, for God was with Him.

7.    Prevent from stepping out of God’s Will
Act 16:6  And coming through the Phrygian and the Galatian region; and by the Holy Spirit being forbidden to speak the Word in Asia;
Act 16:7  having come to Mysia, they attempted to go into Bithynia. But the Spirit did not allow them.

8.    Discerning the Lord’s heart
Act 17:16  But awaiting them in Athens, Paul's spirit was pained within him, seeing the city full of idols.
Act 18:5  And when Silas and Timothy had come from Macedonia, Paul was pressed in the spirit and testified to the Jews that Jesus is the Christ.

We prayed through these 8 promises of the Holy Spirit and resolve to walk with Him in 2010! May He continues to awaken our sensitivity to His Spirit!
